Yunnan Provincial Governor Wang Yubo visited the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka
On April 20, 2025, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations and the Year of People-to-People Exchanges between the two nations, the People's Government of Yunnan Province and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh co-hosted the “Yunnan Education and Health Promotion” at University of Dhaka. During the event, Yunnan Provincial Governor H.E.Mr.Wang Yubo headed a delegation to visit the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka, with Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H.E.Mr. Yao Wen in attendance.
Governor Wang and his delegation received a warm welcome from the teachers and students of Confucius Institute. He visited calligraphy and Chinese painting classes, observed students' artwork and calligraphy pieces, and listened to their recitations of Chinese poetry. He expressed great satisfaction with the students' learning achievements.
The delegation included Mr. Zhao Derong, Deputy Director-General of Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, and Duan Xingwu, Vice President of Yunnan University. This visit marked another step forward in China-Bangladesh educational cooperation and cultural exchange.
2025年4月20日，为庆祝中国与孟加拉国建交50周年暨“中孟人文交流年”，云南省人民政府与中国驻孟加拉国大使馆在达卡大学共同举办“云南教育医疗展”。云南省省长王予波率团访问达卡大学孔子学院，中国驻孟加拉国大使姚文陪同参加活动。
省长一行抵达达卡大学孔子学院时，受到孔院师生的热烈欢迎。王予波省长详细了解了孔院建设的基本情况，并考察了学生在文化课堂上的学习成果。在书法课堂，学生孙迪娅(Sadia Khan)将其书写“中孟友好”作品赠予王予波省长；在国画课堂，学生安图(Aung Kyonu Marma)向王予波赠送中国山水画。随后，省长一行聆听学生孙迪娅和任筱婷(Tasmia Rahman)朗诵古诗《月夜独酌》与《诗经•采薇》。
王予波省长在讲话中指出，今年3月孟加拉国临时政府首席顾问尤努斯成功访华，两国领导人就深化双边关系达成重要共识，为未来中孟友好合作指明了方向。他强调，今天同学们展现出的优秀学习成果，正是中孟两国文化交流互鉴、民心相通的生动体现。省长热情洋溢地表示，云南作为中国面向南亚东南亚开放的重要门户，始终敞开怀抱欢迎孟加拉国学子前来交流学习，共同续写两国人文交流的新篇章。
姚文大使强调，青年是推动中孟友好的重要力量，鼓励学生赴华学习后回国服务，中方将继续支持孟加拉国学生赴华留学。
云南省教育厅副厅长赵德荣和云南大学副校长段兴武等人参加活动。此次访问进一步推动了中孟教育合作与人文交流。
