Professor Zeng Qiong from Beijing Foreign Studies University was invited to give a lecture to the teachers and students of DU Confucius Institute北京外国语大学曾琼教授受邀为达卡孔院师生做专题讲座
On February 27, 2025, Prof. Dr. Zeng Qiong, Director of Centre of South Asian Studies and the Bengali Department at Beijing Foreign Studies University was invited to visit the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka. She delivered a lecture titled "Review of Chinese Translation and Research on Bengali Literature" for the teachers and students of the institute.
Professor Zeng introduced the history of the dissemination of Bengali literary translations in China, with a particular focus on the Chinese translations of classic Bengali literary works and the efforts made by Chinese scholars, writers, and translators in the process of translation and research. She emphasized that the excellent Bengali literary works are not only a spiritual treasure for the people of Bangladesh but also an important window for the Chinese people to understand Bangladeshi culture. After listening to Professor Zeng's insightful lecture, the students expressed their gratitude enthusiastically, thanking her for her contributions to the spread of the Bengali language and Bangladeshi literary works in China.
2025年2月27日，北京外国语大学南亚研究中心主任、孟加拉语教研室主任曾琼教授受邀访问达卡孔院，并为孔院师生带来“孟加拉语文学汉译与研究评述”专题讲座。
曾琼教授为学生们介绍了孟加拉语文学译介在中国的发展历程，并重点讲解了经典孟加拉语文学作品的汉译情况以及中国学者、作家、翻译工作者在译介和研究过程中所做出的努力。她表示，孟加拉语优秀文学作品不仅仅是孟加拉国人的精神财富，同样也是中国人民了解孟加拉文化的重要窗口。学生们在听完曾琼教授的精彩讲座后激动地表达了感谢，感谢她在孟加拉语以及孟加拉语文学作品在中国的传播中所做出的贡献。
