Confucius Institute at DU Signs MoU on Chinese Language Teaching with Jagannath University达卡孔院与贾格纳特大学签署中文教学谅解备忘录
On April 13, 2025, the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jagannath University on the operation of the Chinese language courses at the latter’s institution.
The signing ceremony was attended by nearly 40 participants, including Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University; Dr.Sabina Sharmin, Treasurer; Dr. Md. Sheikh Giash Uddin, Registrar; as well as heads of relevant departments such as the Office of External Affairs, the Institute of Modern Languages, the Department of Political Science, and the Department of History. Representing the Confucius Institute were Chinese Director Dr.Yang Hui and two Chinese teachers.
Under the witness of Vice-Chancellor, university officials, and Confucius Institute representatives, Chinese Director Dr.Yang Hui and the Registrar of Jagannath University signed the MoU. Both parties expressed that the collaboration to offer Chinese language courses marks a crucial step in strengthening educational exchanges and enhancing cultural understanding. In the future, they will further deepen cooperation in academic research, faculty and student exchanges, and other areas, committed to nurturing more outstanding talents proficient in Chinese language and knowledgeable about Chinese culture. This initiative aims to build a robust people-to-people bridge, further solidifying the friendly relations between the two countries.
2025年4月13日，达卡大学孔子学院与贾格纳特大学(Jagannath University)签署关于在该校开设中文课程的谅解备忘录。
贾格纳特大学校长卡里姆(Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul karim)教授、财务官莎敏（Dr. Sabina Sharmin）博士、注册官乌丁（Dr. Md. Sheikh Giash Uddin）博士，以及对外事务处、现代语言学院、政治学系、历史系等相关院系负责人、达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠和教师代表等近40人出席该签约活动。
达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠和该校注册官在卡里姆校长等校方领导和孔院教师代表的见证下签署谅解备忘录。双方表示合作开设中文课程是加强教育交流、增进文化理解的关键一步，未来还将在学术研究、师生互访等领域展开深度合作，致力于培养更多精通汉语、了解中国文化的优秀人才，为深化两国友好关系搭建起坚实的人文桥梁。
