From March 17 to 21, 2025, the 2025 “Chinese Bridge” Bangladeshi Education Delegation, consisting of 15 members including VCs from universities, principals from schools, and officials from educational authorities in Bangladesh, carried out a series of exchange activities in Kunming, Yunnan, China. The visit was a great success, enhancing the Bangladeshi educators' understanding of Chinese language, culture, and the education system. It actively promoted educational and cultural exchanges between China and Bangladesh, paving the way for practical cooperation in the field of education. The program was hosted by Yunnan University, with co-organization by the Confucius Institutes at the University of Dhaka, North South University, and the Shanto-Mariam Honghe Confucius Classroom. Dr. Yang Hui, the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka accompanied the delegation during the visit to China.
On March 18, Mr. Zhou Xuebin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yunnan University, met with the delegation. Both sides expressed their hope to strengthen cooperation, leveraging the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh and the “China-Bangladesh People-to-People Exchange Year” as important opportunities. The delegation also held discussions with representatives and experts from Yunnan University’s School of Education, School of International Chinese Education, and Institute of International Relations, focusing on the higher education systems, development achievements, and challenges in both countries. Prof. Dr. Bidisha, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, introduced Bangladesh's higher education system, and both sides engaged in lively discussions, pledging to continue exchanges and mutual learning.
Beyond higher education, the delegation visited the Affiliated Junior High School of Yunnan University to observe China's basic education system. They attended classes in English, music, and physical education, and were deeply impressed by the beautiful campus, orderly teaching environment, energetic students, and vibrant young faculty.
Additionally, the delegation participated in a traditional Chinese culture class at Yunnan University’s School of Education, where they learned about Chinese philosophical values and experienced calligraphy. They also visited the university’s astronomical observatory and history museum.
During their stay, the delegation explored the Kunming Dounan Flower Market and the International Flower Auction Trading Center, and visited the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Stone Forest, and learned about its intangible cultural heritage.
The visit was well-organized, rich in content, and highly productive. The delegates expressed that the trip deepened their understanding of Chinese education and culture, while also providing a firsthand look at China's socio-economic achievements. The program has established a platform for future cooperation in international Chinese education, talent cultivation, scientific research, and student exchanges, elevating China-Bangladesh educational collaboration to new heights.

2025年3月17-21日,由孟加拉国大中小学校长和教育主管部门负责人等15人组成的2025“汉语桥”孟加拉国校长访华团在云南昆明开展了系列访问交流活动,取得圆满成功,增进了孟加拉国教育界人士对中国语言文化和教育体系的了解,积极地促进了中孟两国教育文化交流,有利于推动两国在教育领域的务实合作。此次访华团项目由云南大学承办,达卡大学孔子学院、南北大学孔子学院和山度•玛丽亚姆-红河孔子课堂参与协办,达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠陪同访华团赴华交流。
18日,云南大学党委书记周学斌会见访华团一行,双方均表示希望借助中孟建交50周年暨“中孟人文交流年”等重要历史契机,进一步加强交流合作,让中孟高等教育合作之树结出更丰硕果实。访华团还与云南大学教育学院、汉语国际教育学院、国际关系研究院等相关学院负责人和专家围绕两国高等教育体系、发展概况、成就与挑战等问题进行了座谈交流,达卡大学副校长Bidisha教授在交流会上对孟加拉国的高等教育体系和基本发展情况进行了介绍,双方讨论热烈,并表示今后将继续加强交流,相互借鉴和学习。
除了中国高等教育情况,代表团成员还走进了云大附中,了解中国基础教育情况,并观摩了初中英语、音乐和体育课堂,优美的校园环境、井然有序的教学秩序、朝气蓬勃的学生和充满活力的青年教师队伍都给他们留下了深刻印象。
此外,访华团一行还在云南大学教育学院国学课堂学习了解中国传统文化价值体系和哲学思想,体验中国书法,感受中国传统文化的魅力。他们还前往云南大学天文台开展交流,并参观了校史馆。
活动期间,访华团一行还调研了昆明斗南花卉市场和国际花卉拍卖交易中心,考察了世界自然遗产地石林,了解石林非遗文化。
本次孟加拉国教育代表团访华行程紧凑、内容丰富、交流深入、成果显著。代表团成员纷纷表示,此次访问,增强了他们对中国教育和中国文化的了解,也对中国经济社会的发展成就有了更直观的感受。项目将为双方搭建一个交流合作的平台,促进双方在国际中文教育、人才培养、科学研究、师生交流等方面的合作,推动中孟教育合作迈上新台阶。
