We are thrilled to welcome Professor Dr. Shamsul Haque, a distinguished cognitive psychologist and the founding head of the Psychology Department at Monash University Malaysia, as a visiting professor. Professor Haque will contribute by delivering key lectures and supervising research projects for the students of the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology (DECP).
Professor Shamsul Haque brings with him extensive experience in both teaching and research. His scholarly contributions include publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. His current research interests are focused on the retrieval of self-defining memories, the lifespan distribution of autobiographical memories, the construction of autobiographical memories in psychiatric patients, trauma, narrative identity, and mental health among refugee populations, as well as generational identity and the memory of war veterans.
