Inauguration of the name plates of 3 laboratories and Student Multipurpose Room held on 13 April 2025
Department of Chemistry held a program on 13 April 2025 for inauguration of the name plates of three laboratories of the department in the Mukarram Hossain Khundkar Science Building named after three esteemed Professors who made significant contributions in the department in their own ways. Names of the three laboratories are Professor Md. Ali Nawab Laboratory, Professor Mofizuddin Ahmed Laboratory, and Professor S. Z. Haider Laboratory. The Chairman of the department, Professor Dr. Md. Qamrul Ehsan, conducted the program and the family members of the three professors graced the event by their presence and reminiscence of the life events of the Professors.
In addition, a Photostand with collection of photos of former faculties of the Department and the name plate of the Student Multipurpose Room were also inaugurated by the Chairman on this historic day in the Ground floor Seminar Room and on the second floor, respectively, of the Department building situated in the Curzon Hall premise.
