ISRT is very pleased to announce that five members of the ISRT family, including one faculty member and four former MS students, have been named recipients of the CASc Awards, StCA award, and Conference Fund (CFDC) by the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) this year. The 45th Annual Conference of the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB45) will be held on July 21-25, 2024, in Thessaloniki, Greece, at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
Three former students (24th batch) won all three ISCB Conference Awards for Scientists (CASc):
Mahnaz Ibrahim for her research titled “On Estimation of Relative Risk Regression Model for Binary Data,” supervised by Professor Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman.
Nabil Ahmed Uthso for his research titled “Machine Learning Methods in Dynamic Survival Prediction Under Standard and Mixed-Model Landmarking Framework,” supervised by Professor Dr. Md. Hasinur Rahaman Khan.
Shafayet Khan Shafee for his research titled “Interval Estimation of Median Odds Ratio for Measuring Contextual Effects in Multilevel Data Using Binary Logistic Model,” supervised by Professor Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman.
One former students (23th batch) won the ISCB Student Conference Award (StCA):
Awan Afiaz for his research titled “Optimal Sandwich Variance Estimator in Penalized GEE for Nearly Separated Longitudinal Binary Data with Small Samples,” supervised by Professor Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman.
One current faculty member awarded the ISCB Conference Fund for Developing Countries (CFDC):
Mr. Md. Mynul Islam, Assistant Professor, for his research titled “Child Malnutrition on Upazila Level in Bangladesh: A Small-Area Estimation Approach,” co-authored with Professor Dr. Syed Shahadat Hossain.
