The Annual Study Tour of 2023 to the Pubail Socio Cultural Centre (PSCC Resort) was a great success, and we are grateful to all the participants who made it possible. One of the organizing students recounts the event.

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর নিউক্লিয়ার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের স্নাতক সম্মান কোর্সের ৭ম ব্যাচ সেশন ২০২১-২২ এর ১৯ জন এবং ৮ম ব্যাচ সেশন ২০২২-২৩ এর ৩০ জন শিক্ষার্থীর সাথে ২ জন শিক্ষকসহ মোট ৫১ (একান্ন) জন শিক্ষার্থী ইজিসিবি’র সিদ্ধিরগঞ্জ ৩৩৫ মেঃওঃ সিসিপিপি, বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রে ০৫/০৫/২০২৪ তারিখ অর্ধদিসব (বিকাল) Industrial Visit সম্পন্ন করে।  

The Department of Nuclear Engineering at Dhaka University organized Nuclear Fest & Research Fair 2023 on May 16, 2023. The event took place at the university's Gymnasium, with the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, inaugurating the fair as the chief guest.

Dr. Afroza Shelley, the Chairperson of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at DU, presided over the opening session. The Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Chairman of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Paul, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at DU, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu, addressed the session as special guests.

During his speech, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman emphasized the importance of developing skilled human resources for the nuclear industry in the country. He also highlighted the need for interdisciplinary collaborative research and stronger ties between industry and academia to promote this sector. He called upon teachers, researchers, and students to actively contribute to building a "Smart Bangladesh" through scientific research and innovation.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof. Dr. A. S. M. Kamal attended the closing ceremony. He distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions.
