Nasrin Sultana is a Professor of Health Economics and currently serving as the Director at the Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka. She is experienced in teaching and research in Economics and Health Economics related issues in more than 20 years. She has conducted research on several issues including Maternal, neonatal and child health, reproductive health, estimation of health care cost, health care financing, quality of health care, local level planning, fiscal space assessment of Health, Nutrition and Population sector, health insurance scheme for the garment workers, micro health insurance scheme for delivery of health care, family planning spending assessment in Bangladesh, health and productivity of SME workers, feasibility study, costed implementation plan for family planning, family planning spending assessment in Bangladesh, ensuring healthy environment for RMG workers during COVID-19 pandemic etc. She has extensive research experience in working with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, local NGOs and international development partners including UNFPA; WHO; UNICEF; DFID; SNV Netherlands; Christian Aid; Pathfinder International; Thinkwell LLC; Avenir Health, USA since 2000.
