Master of science in Geology is a one-year program. There are two groups- one group is termed as General Group (Group A) and the other as Thesis Group (Group B). The degree is offered in several specialized branches such as - Applied geophysics, Environmental Geology and Geohazards, Geoinformatics, Hydrogeology and Water Resources Management, Mining Geology, Palogeoscience and Biostratigraphy, and Petroleum Geosciences and Engineering.

Admission Requirement:
Currently, all students graduating from the department are eligible to enroll in masters program. It is not open to students from any other department, institute, or universities.
