A four-member delegation of Japan-Korea Industrial Technology Co-operation Foundation led by Mr. Lee Myung-Ho, high official of Global Planning & Coordination Dept. of Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal yesterday May 30, 2024 at the latter’s office of the university. Other team members were Kim Yujung, Uchida Toshiaki and Sudo Shun.

Chairman of DU Japanese Studies Department Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam and Director of DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed the matters of mutual interest especially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative training and exchange programs between DU and Japan-Korea Industrial Technology Co-operation Foundation.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal said, we have a huge number of youths but there is a scarcity of skilled human resources in the global markets. He stressed the need for development of need-based human resources and sought cooperation from Japan-Korea Industrial Technology Co-operation Foundation in this regard.
