Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan leaves Dhaka yesterday November 14, 2024 for China on a 7-day official visit at the invitations of Vice-President of Yunnan University, Director General of Center for Language Education & Cooperation, Secretary-General of Chinese International Education Foundation and President of International Society for Chinese Language Teaching. He will attend the Board Meeting of Confucius Institute of Yunnan University as well as World Chines Language Conference.

 During this visit DU VC Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan will take part in different high level meetings and hold bilateral & multilateral talks with the authorities of Yunnan University for further strengthening on-going joint collaborative academic and research programs between DU and Yunnan University. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities will be signed in this regard.

Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan will exchange views, share knowledge and hold discussions with the authorities of Center for Language Education & Cooperation, Chinese International Education Foundation and Chinese Language Teaching regarding the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on language and culture among DU and deferent Chinese institutions. DU VC is expected to visit some other important institutions there.

He is expected to return home on November 20, 2024. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha in addition to her duties will discharge routine works of the Vice-Chancellor.
