Six financially challenged and meritorious students of different academic years from six different departments of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded ‘Aminur Rahman Khan Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship’. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal distributed scholarship cheque and certificate among the recipients as chief guest at a function held today May 30, 2024 at VC Office Lounge of the university.

Treasurer of DU Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abdul Bashir, DU Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker and Director of DU PR Office Mahmood Alam, Chairman of different departments, family members of donor of the trust fund--Prof. Shaheen Ahamed, Aminur Reza Khan and Kazi Anower Ahamed were present on this occasion.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal congratulated the recipients of scholarship and hoped that this scholarship would help them in attaining more success in their life. They would work and contribute to the welfare of the society in future, he hoped.

The recipients are Hussain Ahmed (History Department), Nurezannat Afris (Music Department), Md. Abdul Alim (Department of Political Science), Sabbir Hosain (Department of Fisheries), Md. Shah Jamal Hossain (Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology) and Sheikh Nafis Haider (Department of Nuclear Engineering).
