Eight students of the Department of Geography and Environment of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded A Q M Mohiuddin Memorial Scholarship today May 26, 2024 at VC Office Lounge for their outstanding results at B.S. (Hons.) examination.  DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal distributed scholarship cheque among the recipients as chief guest. The recipients of the scholarship are Monojit Saha, Maliha Haque, Md. Minhajul Islam, Munira Nusrat, Khadiza Ahsan, Md. Suvo Tamim, Rihana Parvin Nipa and Abir Mahmud. 

DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Emeritus Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker and Donor of the A Q M Mohiuddin Memorial Trust Fund Prof. Dr. Naznin Afrose Haq were present on this occasion.

DU VC Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the donor of the trust fund and said, late A Q M Mohiuddin was a brilliant student and veteran bureaucrat. He is an exemplary personality for our students. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financially support to the meritorious students as well as give them a message that DU will stand beside them during their studies at the university. He wished their grand success in life and urged them to come forward with financial support in future for DU students as an alumni.
