Deputy Director of Public Engagement of US Embassy in Bangladesh Mr. Bren Flanigan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal today January 24, 2024 at the latter’s office of the university.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on English language skills development, information technology and climate change among Dhaka University and different universities in USA. They stressed the need for strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs as well as teachers, students and researchers exchange programs among Dhaka University and various universities of USA.

Deputy Director of Public Engagement of US Embassy expressed his willingness to provide academic experts from USA for development of capacity building and enhancement of academic and research activities of DU.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal said, Dhaka University authorities are relentlessly trying to equip students with knowledge and humanitarian values. He sought cooperation from concerned US authorities for increasing the number of Fulbright scholarship for Bangladeshi students in USA. He also thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka Universities and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
