A new trust fund titled “Prof. Dr. Azizur Rahman Trust Fund” has been establishedat the Department of Psychology of Dhaka University (DU). Retired Professor of DU Psychology Department Dr. Azizur Rahman handed over a cheque for Tk. 25 lac to the Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal today December 11, 2023at Seminar Library of the department to set up this trust fund.

Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of DU Prof. Dr. AKM Mahbub Hasan, Chairman of Psychology Department Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin, some teachers and students were present on this occasion.

Out of the income of this Trust Fund, every year some financially challenged students of DU Psychology Department will be given scholarship.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the donor for his donation. Financially challenged students will be highly benefitted by this trust fund, he hoped. He called upon the rich people of the society to come forward with their helping hands for financially challenged students following the example of Prof. Dr. Azizur Rahman.
