Two separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) of the University of Dhaka (DU) with the University of Technology Mara, Malaysia and Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung, Indonesia have been signed today November 01, 2023 at Prof. Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom of DU to promote academic, cultural and scientific programs. Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Rector of the University of Technology Mara, Malaysia Prof. Dr. Nur Hisham Ibrahim and Rector of Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung Prof. Dr. Retno Dwimarwati signed the MoUs on behalf of their respective university.

Deputy Rector of Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung Prof. Dr. Supriatna, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art of DU Prof. Nisar Hossian, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, some teachers of DU Graphic Design Department and members of delegations from two foreign universities were present on this occasion.

According to the MoUs, Dhaka University will jointly conduct academic and research programs with the University of Technology Mara and Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung. Besides, Dhaka University and these two universities will exchange academic materials and publications as well as faculty members, students and researchers. They will jointly organize seminar, symposium and conference.  

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the authorities of the University of Technology Mara and Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung for signing the MoUs and hoped that this initiative would enhance the quality of education and research of each university.
