A two-day non-fiction (Business) Book Fair has begun today October 12, 2015 at the Faculty of Business Studies premises of Dhaka University (DU). Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated it as the chief guest. The Faculty of Business Studies of DU and Bonikbarta, a daily news paper of the country jointly organized the event.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies of DU Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Managing Director of the First Security Islami Bank Ltd. Syed Waseque Md. Ali, former Chairman of the NBR Abdul Mazid and Editor of the Daily Bonikbarta Dewan Hanif Mahmud, among others, were present on this occasion.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique urged the students to read more non-fiction books to make themselves global standard graduates. He said, the book fair may create an opportunity for Dhaka University students to learn one’s lessons. He also hoped that the teachers, students and researchers would be highly benefited from it.
It may be mentioned that a total of 19 prominent publication houses, 3-other private banks and research organizations are participating in the fair.
