The certificate giving ceremony of a five-day training program on “Renewable Energy and Its Application: Solar, Wind, Biomass” was held today October13, 2015 at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU). Institute of Energy (IE) of DU organized the program in cooperation with Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA). Dhaka University Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin distributed certificates among the participants as the chief guest.  

Director of the IE of DU Prof. Dr. Saiful Huque presided over the function while Deputy Country Director of UNDP, Bangladesh Nick Bersford and Chairman of the SREDA Tapos Kumar Roy addressed it as special guests. Lecturer of IE of DU Dr. S M Nasif Shams conducted the program.                                                                   

Dhaka University Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin thanked the organizer for arranging the training program on renewable energy. He hoped that the participants of the program would play an effective role to develop renewable energy sector in Bangladesh.

It may be mentioned that a total of 16 officials from SREDA participated in the training program.
