A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) and Elcon Bangladesh Limited, a British company was signed today November 24, 2015 at the VC’s office to construct “Teachers’ Housing Project” for young teachers’ of Dhaka University at Dhanmondi residential area. Treasurer of DUTA Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam and Chairman of Elcon Bangladesh Limited Antony John Mosley signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.   

DUTA President Prof. Farid Uddin Ahmed, Secretary Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal, other DUTA leaders and higher officials from Elcon Bangladesh Limited were present on this occasion.

Later, Antony John Mosley, Chairman of Elcon Bangladesh Limited paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office. Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md Kamal Uddin was present, among others, on this occasion.

According to the MoU, Elcon Bangladesh Limited authorities will provide financial assistance to Dhaka University for construction of Teachers’ Housing Project at Dhanmondi area.
