Dr. Animesh Pal is currently working as a full-time faculty member of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Dhaka (DU), Bangladesh. He obtained his B.Sc. (2009) and M.Sc. (2010) degrees from the Department of Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering (currently named as EEE) of DU. He also received his M. Eng. (2015) and Ph.D. in Engineering (2018) from the Department of Energy and Environmental Engineering of Kyushu University (KU), Japan. Just after completing his Ph.D., he joined as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at I2CNER of KU. During his short research career, Dr. Pal has already published 39 articles in peer-reviewed high-impact international journals, 2 book chapters in the Encyclopedia of Elsevier, and 43 conference proceedings. He also received 6 international prestigious fellowships/awards (Post-doc Fellowship, Bronze Award, Best Paper Award, Research Proposal, Fellowship for Ph.D. & Master). Dr. Pal has visited several countries, such as Japan, Italy, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, to attend conferences/seminars/workshops, and collaborate on research. He has acquired wide experience through visiting several industries and several laboratories in different countries. His research areas include thermodynamics & heat transfer, thermal engineering, nuclear engineering, radioactive waste management, and carbon-neutral energy-saving technologies.
