About Department of Political Science

Department of Political Science The Department of Political Science is one of the oldest departments in the University of Dhaka. In 1921 the University of Dhaka initially commenced its academic endeavor with twelve departments and the Department of Economics and Politics was one of them. However, the Department of Political Science started its own independent journey in 1938. The Department of Political Science offers Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) Honors, Master of Social Sciences (MSS), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs.
