Welcome to the Department of Anthropology at the University of Dhaka. Anthropology is the study of human beings and their culture. It is an important branch of social sciences through academic and applied practices. The department started its academic curriculum under the Faculty of Social Sciences on December 05, 1992. The class of the first batch began in January 1993 (session 1992-1993). The department stepped into its 30 years of establishment. Currently, it has 17 full-time and 02 part-time teachers.
