03 October, 2024: The inauguration ceremony of the Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) Training Program for the students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka, was held on October 3, 2024, at the CSEDU Auditorium. To create global work opportunities for computer science and engineering graduates, a national level Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) is conducted by IPA, Japan. ITEE certified engineers will get work permit in China, Japan, Korea and many more Asian countries. To increase the pass rate in ITEE exam and uphold the image of our graduates, with the collaboration of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka and Bangladesh computer council (BCC), a 60-hrs training program has been started from 03 October, 2024 at the CSEDU.
The ceremony featured Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Chairman of the Department of CSE, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the importance of certifications like ITEE in the competitive global job market. He stressed the need for students to stay updated with the latest technological trends and standards, and how programs like ITEE can bridge the gap between academia and industry requirements. He encouraged students to fully utilize this opportunity and make the most of the training.
The welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Md. Tareeq, the Coordinator of the ITEE Training Program. He expressed his gratitude to the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) for conducting the training and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering technological expertise and professional growth. He also discussed the objectives of the ITEE training and how it is designed to provide a structured learning path for students aspiring to excel in the field of Information Technology.
Mr. Annajiat Alim Rasel, Senior Lecturer at BRAC University and a trainer for the ITEE program was present as the Special Guest. In his speech, he shared his insights into the structure of the ITEE exam and the key areas that the training would cover, including IT strategy, system development, and project management. He also spoke about the international recognition of the ITEE certification and its role in opening up career opportunities not only in Bangladesh but globally.
The event marked the beginning of an important initiative aimed at equipping CSE students with vital skills for the global IT market.
