6th Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy Conference
In February 10 and 11, 2018 6th Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy Conference was held. Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist and other Professionals were attending from 13 Countries of the world. The theme of this conference “Mental health gap in Asian countries: scope of CBT”. 90 Scientific papers were presented on this Conference. Besides this two day long special workshops were conducted in various topics.
From this Conference participants got a comparative picture of mental health of different countries which will play an important role to enhance mental health profession.
Conference was started at 3 pm on 10th February 2018 in Dhaka University Sinet Bhaban where the Chief Guest was Md. Nasim, MP, Honorable Minister, Health and Family welfare of Bangladesh Government. Special guests were Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmed, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Dhaka and Prof. Dr. Imdadul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Dhaka. The conference was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of University of Dhaka. Conference was jointly organized by Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh Clinical Psychology Society (BCPS), Nasirullah Psychotherapy Unit, D.U. and Asian Cognitive Behavior Therapy Association.
