We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jahangir Alam, an esteemed alumnus of the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, has joined us as a lecturer. His return to the department as a faculty member marks a significant milestone in his academic journey.
Mr. Jahangir Alam was a part of the 7th batch of students in the Department of MIS. He successfully completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the same department, showcasing his dedication and passion for the field.
Throughout his academic career, Mr. Alam demonstrated exceptional performance and received numerous prestigious awards. He was honored with the President Gold Medal presented by the Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, the Dean's Honor Award (BBA), the Dean's Merit List Award (BBA), and the Dean's Honor Award (MBA) for his outstanding achievements. Notably, he secured the 1st position in both his BBA and MBA degrees, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence.
Prior to his return to the University of Dhaka, Mr. Alam served as a lecturer in the Department of Business and Technology Management (BTM) at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Additionally, he held the position of senior lecturer at the School of Business at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), where he also served as an assistant proctor from July 2021 to September 2022.
Mr. Alam's research interests primarily focus on Management Information Systems (MIS), ICT Applications, HRIS, Blockchain, AI, and Supply Chain Information Systems. His research contributions have been acknowledged through the publication of his articles in renowned national and international peer-reviewed journals.
We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Jahangir Alam as he rejoins the Department of MIS as a lecturer.
