On 5 October 2024, Management FBS Club Limited held a ceremony at its Club House in Banglamotor to recognize volunteers, all current students of the Department of Management, University of Dhaka, for their outstanding contributions during the recent floods in southeastern Bangladesh. The volunteers were awarded certificates of appreciation for their tireless efforts in delivering critical supplies, food, and aid to families affected by the disaster.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Khondoker Ataur Rahman, President of Management FBS Club Limited and former Managing Director of Palli Sanchay Bank, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers. He praised their courage and commitment in responding to one of the country’s most challenging humanitarian crises. "Your contributions have been vital in supporting flood-stricken communities, and we are deeply grateful for your service," said Mr. Rahman.
Dr. Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Management at the University of Dhaka, attended as the Special Guest. In his remarks, Dr. Islam commended the volunteers, describing them as true heroes. He emphasized the significance of their role in providing relief and underscored the power of unity and compassion in times of need. He also praised the club’s leadership for organizing the relief efforts and called for continued collaboration in addressing future challenges.
Other distinguished guests included Mr. Md. Aynul Kabir, Club Vice President & former Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Mr. M.A. Mannan, Director of Talent Synergy Firm, and Mr. Mohammad Abdul Jabber, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, University of Dhaka. Each of them echoed the sentiments of appreciation, highlighting the volunteers' remarkable work in bringing timely relief to those most in need.
