A day-long workshop on Centennial Research Grant Project entitled ‘Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from the Medicinal Plants of Oxalidaceae Family to Combat Diseases’ was held on April 30, 2023 in the Department of Chemistry, Dhaka University (DU). The workshop was sponsored by Centennial Research Grant Project, University of Dhaka and co-sponsored by BAN:04 Research at Chemistry Department of DU supported by International Science Program (ISP), Sweden. Many retired and current faculty members, students and researchers from Dhaka University and other universities attended the workshop.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shoeb, Group Leader, BAN:04 Research Group chaired the session and delivered welcome address while Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus Samad, Dean, Faculty of Science, DU was present as Chief Guest. Former Chairperson of DU Chemistry Department Prof. Dr. Abu Jafar Mahmood, Prof. Dr. Nilufar Nahar, current Chairman of DU Chemistry Department Prof. Dr. Md. Qamrul Ehsan and Prof. Dr. Abul Khair were present as special guests.  Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Rouf Mamun of DU Chemistry Department gave vote of thanks.
