IMF DMD paid a courtesy call on DU VC

Visiting Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Antoinette Monsio Sayeh paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today January 17, 2023 at the latter’s office of the university.

During the meeting DU Vice-Chancellor apprised the IMF Deputy Managing Director of a brief history of Dhaka University and its academic and research programs. This largest public university of the country has been running with fully government fund since its inception, he added.

IMF Deputy Managing Director highly praised this historic Dhaka University and expressed her happiness to know that a huge number of students have been pursuing tertiary level education with residential facilities at this premier and prestigious public university which is fully funded by government.

DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the IMF Deputy Managing Director for her visit to and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
