A two-day long International Conclave on ‘Materials, Energy & Climate’ concluded today December 20, 2022 at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU). Deputy Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, MP attended this concluding function of the conclave as chief guest. DU Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (ACCE) Department organized this conclave in observance of the Golden Jubilee of ACCE Department.
Presided over by Chairman of ACCE Department Prof. Dr. Md. Nurnabi the function was addressed by DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology Prof. Dr. Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu as special guests. Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Tiwari of Sweden, Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Islam and Prof. Dr. A F M Mustafizur Rahman also addressed it.
Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, MP said, Bangladesh has achieved tremendous success at all sectors under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Present Government has been implementing various projects to face natural calamities like flood, cyclone and other disasters.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad thanked organizers of this international conclave and said, its recommendation and findings would help face and mitigate the problems of natural calamities. Researchers, teachers, students and participants of this conclave would be equipped with knowledge on climate change related issues, he hopped.
Researchers, teachers, students and representatives of different organizations from home and abroad took part in this conclave.
