Chinese Author & Philosopher Desh Subba and Acting Ambassador of Nepal in Bangladesh Sushil K Lamsal called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today April 2, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university. Executive Director of Language Movement Research Center & Museum M R Mahbub was present, among others, on this occasion.

            During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative research programs on ‘Fearism’ by the University of Dhaka and higher educational institutions in China. Various social issues including child killings and freedom of expression were also discussed in the meeting. They stressed the need for strengthening friendly ties among the neighboring countries through people to people interaction. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic activities.

            It may be mentioned that Chinese Author Desh Subba is now on a visit to Bangladesh to deliver a lecture on ‘Philosophy of Fearism’ at CIRDAP Auditorium on April 3, 2016 at 5 pm. Embassy of Nepal, Dhaka and Oikko Prokashoni will jointly organize the program.
