A new centre titled ‘Neuroscience Research Centre’ has been established at Dhaka University (DU) to conduct research on brain related functions. The first meeting of Executive Council of the centre was held today April 20, 2016 at the VC’s lounge of the university.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique presided over the meeting while Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Imdadul Hoque, Director of Neuroscience Research Centre Prof. Dr. Md. Khalilur Rahman and Chairpersons of various departments under the Faculty of Biological Sciences addressed it.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique in his speech urged the faculties and researchers to conduct ‘global standard research’ to face neurological problems of human being. He hoped that this centre would play an important role in this regard.
