A 6-member delegation led by D. Yuyin, Chairman of Cultural and Historical Records Committee of Yunnan, China called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today June 7, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.  Other members of the delegation were Fan Zhimin, Shu Ping, Li Ruobin, Yang Qiong and Li Jianxu. Chinese Director of Confucius Institute of DU Zhou Mingdong was present on this occasion.  

          During the meeting they stressed the need for strengthening cultural exchange programs between Bangladesh and China. They emphasized on enhancing the quality of primary education for overall development of the education sector. Besides, they discussed the possibilities of holding short-term training workshop for primary school teachers of Bangladesh in China. Exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between Dhaka University and higher educational institutions in China were also discussed in the meeting.
