Principal Social Development Specialist of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sunhwa Lee called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today July 13, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.

          Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Abdur Rouf Talukder, Former Secretary to the Government and Chairman of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited Arastoo Khan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Mohammed Walid Hossain, Professor of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of DU Dr. Jawad R Zahid and Assistant Professor Md. Rezaul Kabir were present on this occasion.       

          During the meeting they discussed various issues including socio-economic development in Bangladesh. They also discussed the possibilities of introducing training program for DU faculties and mid-level and higher-level officials to enhance their professional skills. The ADB delegate expressed her willingness to provide financial support to DU for development of its infrastructure facilities. Development of Business, Industry, IT and education sectors in Bangladesh were also discussed in the meeting.
