Dr. Mohua Mukharjee, a Professor of Rabindra Bharati University, India has been appointed as ‘Tagore Chair’ of Dhaka University. Prof. Mukharjee called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique yesterday July 18, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university. Director of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre Jayashree Kundu was present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various issues including development of education system in Bangladesh. It may be mentioned that Prof. Mukharjee would work to develop academic and research activities of various departments of DU including Dance, Music, Sanskrit, Philosophy and Theatre & Performance Studies Departments during her assignment.
