A 4-member delegation led by Eisuke Tajima, Senior Social Sector Specialist of Asian Development Bank (ADB) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today August 10, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.  Other members of the delegation were Ryotaro Hayashi, Elma Morsheda and Md. Zabed Ali Sorker.    

         Director of the Institute of Information Technology of DU Dr. Kazi Muhaymin-Us-Sakib, Director of BHTPA Md. Hasanul Islam, Director of BASIS Uttam Kumar Paul and some other faculties of DU  were present on this occasion.          

          During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of   implementation of IT HR HUB Project at DU in cooperation with ADB. The ADB delegation expressed willingness to provide financial support to DU for development of its infrastructure facilities. Various strategic plans and processes for development of ICT sector in Bangladesh were also discussed in the meeting. The VC thanked the ADB authorities for their keen interest to promote academic and research activities of DU.
