A 3-member delegation led by Masahiro Isokawa, President of Kansai Action Company, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today August 27, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university. Other members of the delegation were Shinya Nishimura, Director and Anup Somadder, Legal Advisor of the same company.

          During the meeting they discussed various issues including development of leather technology and environmental science education at Dhaka University. The Japanese delegation expressed willingness to recruit skilled manpower in their companies from Bangladesh. They assured the VC that Dhaka University would be given priority in this regard. The possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative research programs by the University of Dhaka and Kansai Action Company, Japan were also discussed in the meeting.
