A new trust fund titled “Dr. Kulsum Abul Bashar Majumder Trust Fund” has been set up at the Department of Persian Language & Literature of Dhaka University (DU). Dr. Kulsum Abul Bashar Majumder, Professor of DU Persian Language & Literature Department handed over a cheque for Tk. 10 lac to DU Treasurer Prof.      Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin today September 26, 2016 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to set up this trust fund.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Begum Akter Kamal, Chairman of the Department of Persian Language & Literature Prof. Dr. Abdus Sabur, some other faculties and family members of the donor were present on this occasion.

Out of the income of this donation, every year some meritorious students of the Department of Persian Language & Literature of DU will be given scholarship or award.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arefin Siddique thanked the donor for her donation. He also hoped that the other faculties of DU would extend their helping hands to the meritorious students by following the example of Dr. Kulsum Abul Bashar Majumder.
