Senior Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hitoshi Ara called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today October 26, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.

            During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and higher educational institutions in Japan.   Japanese government has expressed willingness to provide scholarships to 15 DU students for higher study in Japan every year, JICA Representative informed.  Those students who will complete their study from Japanese universities may be given employment at various companies in Japan, he also informed the VC. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the JICA Representative for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic activities.
