Janina Islam Abir has been awarded ‘Novera Deepita Memorial Scholarship’ for securing the highest CGPA in BSS Honors Examination of 2014 from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University(DU). DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed scholarship as the chief guest at a function today November 8, 2016 at the VC’s lounge of the university.  

Chairperson of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism Prof. Mofizur Rahman presided over the function while Prof. Dr. Abul Mansur Ahmed, Associate Prof. Dr. Naadir Junaid, Associate Prof. Dr. ASM Asaduzzaman and Novera Deepita’s mother Adila Bakul addressed it.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique said Novera was a meritorious student of DU Mass Communication and Journalism Department as well as a progressive human being.  He urged the students to make themselves as worthy citizen by following the ideals of Novera Deepita.
