Prof. Dr. Christoph Scherrer, Executive Director of International Center for Development and Decent Work (ICDD), University of Kassel, Germany called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today November 20, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university. Prof. Dr. Zia Rahman, Chairman of DU Criminology Department was present on this occasion. 

During the meeting they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic programmes between ICDD of University of Kassel, Germany and Dhaka Uiversity. They apprised each other of academic and research programmes of their respect university. Possibilities of jointly holding seminars and workshops were also discussed in the meeting. Besides, they stressed the need for enrolment of Bangladeshi students with scholarship at Masters and Ph.D programmes in ICDD of University of Kassel, Germany.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked German guest for his keen interest to initiate academic collaboration with Dhaka University.                                         -----------
