A new trust fund titled ‘Gyasuddin Molla & Faizunnessa Begum Trust Fund’ has been established at the Department of Political Science of Dhaka University (DU). Prof. Dr. Gyasuddin Molla and Prof. Faizunnessa Begum  handed over  a   cheque for Tk. 10 lac to DU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad  today December 8, 2016 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to set up this trust fund.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Chairman of the Department of Political Science Prof. Dr. Hasanuzzaman Choudhury and Acting Registrar Md. Enamuzzaman were present on this occasion. 

Out of the income of this donation, every year three poor but meritorious students of the Department of Political Science of DU will be awarded ‘Gyasuddin Molla & Faizunnessa Begum Trust Fund’ scholarship.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the donors for setting up this trust fund at Dhaka University and hoped that the students would be highly benefited and encouraged from this donation.    

It may be mentioned that Dr. Gyasuddin Molla is a retired Professor of DU Political Science Department. Mrs. Faizunnessa Begum, wife of Dr. Gyasuddin Molla is also a retired Professor of the Government College.
