A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and the GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh was signed today December 19, 2016 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin and Executive Director of GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh Lutfor Rahman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.
Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Director of IBA Prof. Dr. AKM Saiful Majid, Director of IE Prof. Dr. Saiful Huque, Chairman of GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh Dr. Abdul Majid, Vice-Chairman Pradip Kumar Dutta and Acting Registrar of DU Md. Enamuzzaman were present on this occasion.
According to the MoU, Dhaka University and GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh will work together to develop renewable energy technology in the country. They will also conduct joint research activities on various environmental issues including renewable energy, green technology and low-carbon development. Besides, the two institutions will jointly organize workshop, seminar, symposium, conference and roundtable discussion on renewable energy, green industrialization and various environmental issues. They will also arrange training programs for professionals and graduates to build their capacities in this regard. Dhaka University and GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh will share knowledge and resource for research development.
