Dr. Asit K. Sarkar, Professor Emeritus of the University of Saskatchewan, Canada called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today December 31, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.

           Dean of the Faculty of Social Science of DU Prof. Farid Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. M. Imdadul Hoque,  Dean of the Faculty of Earth & Environmental Sciences Prof. Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal and Director of the Institute of  Nutrition and Food Science Prof. Dr. Nazma Shaheen were present on this occasion.

            During the meeting they discussed about strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs on technology, environment, arsenic, food security and agriculture being conducted by the University of Dhaka and the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
