Two meritorious students of the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded “Director’s Award” for securing the highest CGPA in their BSS (Honors) and MSS examinations respectively. Awardees are Muhammad Ihsan-Ul-Kabir (BSS) and Md. Ragaul Azim (MSS). Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman handed over this award to the brilliant students as chief guest on November 28, 2017 at Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium of the university.
Director of the Institute of Health Economics of DU Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Hamid presided over the function while Prof. Dr. Shamsuddin Ahmad and Prof. Nahid Akhter Jahan addressed it.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to play pioneering role to make DU campus neat and clean as well as free from drugs. He also called upon the students to equip themselves with moral values to meet societal needs. They have to be prepared as worthy citizen by utilizing their time properly, the VC added.
