A 2-day long national seminar on “Youth Impact: Unleashing the Power of Youth” begins today September 15, 2019 at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU). DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated this seminar as chief guest. DU organization named ‘Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE)’ has organized this seminar.
Presided over by Moderator of SAVE Youth Aynul Islam the inaugural function of the seminar was addressed by Dean of DU Social Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim as special guest. The function was also addressed, among others, by Prof. Dr. Rounaq Jahan, Ambassador (Retired) Humayun Kabir, Prof. Dr. Delwar Hossain and DU Assistant Professor Tawhida Jahan.
DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, youths are our assets and source of power. They have courage, honesty, enthusiasm and dedication to work for the advancement of the human civilization. He stressed the need for proper utilization of our youth forces for development of the country.
A total of 9 sessions of the seminar will be held today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday). A large number of students from different universities of the country are participating at this seminar.
