Four meritorious students of the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Mathematics of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded ‘Dr. Maliha Khatun-Muhammad Nurul Huda Trust Fund Scholarship’ for their outstanding academic performances. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman distributed this scholarship among the students as chief guest at a function today, October 17, 2019 at the VC’s lounge of the university.
Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Tofail Ahmad Chowdhury, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics Prof. Dr. Amal Krishna Halder, Chairman of the Department of Chemistry Prof. Dr. Md. Azizur Rahman, Acting Registrar Md. Enamuzzaman, late Dr. Maliha Khatun’s son former Secretary Humayun Akter Kamal and son-in-law former IGP Muhammad Nurul Huda were present on this occasion.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to become good human being after equipping themselves with moral values. He also called upon the students to work hard for betterment of the society.
The recipients of scholarship are Samin Yasar (Chemistry), Omrito Kumer (Chemistry), Shukhi Akhter (Mathematics) and Md. Riazul Karim Sakib (Mathematics).
