The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a place of learning, research and preparing world-class Pharmacy professionals to face the challenges of the new millennium. With the progress of time, the department has undergone remarkable development, growing into one of the topmost national teaching and research centers in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The department has substantially contributed to produce talents who are leading the national and global scenario. The department started functioning since 2003 under the Faculty of Pharmacy with the foundation stone being laid by the great visionary Sir Emeritus Professor Dr. Abdul Jabber. Our department has a long tradition of carrying out high-quality research in several areas of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, such as natural products, drug-drug & drug-protein interactions, molecular pharmacology, the efficacy of herbal drugs, drug development, pharmaceutical analysis, immunology, pharmaceutical biotechnology and phytochemistry. Following the recent trends in advanced universities in the developed world, the course curriculum of the department includes an assortment of relevant inter-disciplinary subjects and provide a path for students to consistently increase their Pharmacy knowledge and skills.
